Book of Aionism, Part 2, Section 2 — Stated Beliefs
The Universe and the Self both contain forces of Order and Chaos. Aion is the ordering force. Enlightenment is an attitude, and attitude is a choice.
Stated Aionist Beliefs
1. Gods / Spirits exist. Consciousness is a property / dimension of God/Spirit
Spirit is the “animating or vital principal in man and animals.” They are that which rule over both matter (universe) and mind (soul/psyche). Further, consciousness is a property / characteristic / dimension of Spirit. God, Spirit, Forces — these terms can be interchanged.
2. Aion is the God of Order; the force of positive spiritual conscious experience
Aion is the name for the ordering, intelligent, immaterial Will which powers and sustains the universe. To ancient religions, Aion is identified as The Father, Brahman, the Tao.
Aion exists as the spark of divinity within Man as the creative, youthful, vigorous spirit; the fire of life; “the secret flame”; “the vital principal in man”. It is named The Holy Spirit in Christianity.
When man achieves the mystical marriage of soul (psyche) with spirit (Instinct, Will, Vitality), he becomes a Son of God. An Aionist. He is a conduit of the divine spark within himself. He lets the Will of God work through him. This brings a state of complete psychic peace, rest, joy.
There are masculine and feminine (or positive and negative) states of being in the universe and in our psyches; when they are united — i.e. when they are ordered properly — this brings about the intelligent, creative, generative force of Aion. This is what drives the Will to create increasingly complex forms of life which lead to higher forms of order. Aion is not inherently positive or negative, masculine or feminine: there are positive and negative charges within an atom, but neither are inherently good or evil; and, likewise, neither male nor female gender is inherently good or evil. Aion is a force of positive spiritual experience in mankind, in that it Unifies or Makes Whole our souls — the masculine, conscious mind is joined with the feminine, unconscious intuition.
3. Demons are Gods of Chaos; the forces for negative spiritual conscious experience
If there exists a spirit-force of wholeness and spiritual happiness, there must exist a spirit-force of disunion, and spiritual hurt.
Just as there is a Christ which represents Spiritual Wholeness (the Divine Child of the Union between the Father and Mother), so too there is an Antichrist archetype that exists: as a symbol in Christian metaphysics, as an image imprinted on our unconscious self, as a force in the macrocosmic universe. A god is something that moves matter and mind — this demon force moves both into disunion.
Through a frame which interprets the Bible literally, one may be confused by God’s allowing or creation of evil, because if he is benevolent and omnipotent, why create an Antichrist? However, through a frame which sees the two primary Spirits as Unifying or Divorcing / Luminating or Lying / Ordering or Chaotic, it becomes easier to understand the roots of evil. If “good” comes when mind is married to intuition, when soul is married to spirit, when male is married to female, when positive charge is joined to negative charge, when yin is joined with yang… then “evil” comes when they are separated, and, specifically in man’s Psyche (where he experiences positive or negative emotions), this is where human spirituality is either fulfilled or destroyed. This is where man’s spirit finds either Eternal Life, or Death in Hell.
We witness the Disordering Force in the iron prison of modernity, and we recognize it by and because of the negative spirituality it generates in men. The Demon is deceptive, it presents itself as an angel, and it tempts Free Men with power that it never delivers on. Its ugly vassals on this earth are enemies of Aion. Modernity does not want men or women to live according to their instincts as warriors or mothers — it wants them to be equalized and interchangeable sources of labor in a machine. The modern technostate neuters the instincts in man and woman, it confuses them, it creates conflict in their hearts, it is the greatest external source of Illusion and Chaos in our spirits.
4. Heaven is a state of mind, and it is attainable via free choice.
Heaven, Nirvana, Enlightenment — these are terms for the state of consciousness a man may attain when he is Whole, when he is without spiritual disorder, when he is living in a trance-like state completely in-tune to his Instinct-Will … in other words, when he is merged with Aion (the ordering, harmonical force). This state is ultimate relaxation, letting go, levity, joy. It is like observing a great light show.
And heaven, my friends, is a choice! It is a choice to form healthy habits which promote spiritual health. Exercise, meditation, and fraternization are the foundations of happiness. They all are the result of choice, yes. But it is more. Bad luck may take your leg from you, and all your friends may be far away, but you still get to choose how you respond to your circumstances. “Man must master his circumstances or else be mastered by them.”
5. Hell is also a state of mind. Opposite of free and conscious choice, it is rule by fear.
Man can suffer from spiritual disorder in so many ways. He may not have control over his thoughts, and so his thoughts come to create guilt or fear in him. He may not have control over his body, so he eats or drinks poorly, and his hormones suffer and impact his general sense of self-worth. He may listen too much to his environment, or socialization, and loses all touch with his Instinct-Will. He may focus on the puppet-show of modernity, focus on all the problems in the world, and in feeling completely powerless to do anything about it he may despair. All of these problems at their root come from man lacking self-discipline. He feels that he lacks autonomy, or he does not possess the will to exercise it. He is afraid, or lazy. And his soul will live in suffering for it.
Aionism stands for the development, power, and perfection of Man. For submission to the Holy Spirit that compels life to seek a perfect specimen. For beauty, creation, and order. For strength and joy. For the destruction of ugliness. For fellowship. For waves of endless laughter. For the glorification of this world, sublimation of spirit, and liberation of the soul into the everlasting light, peace, and power of the Fire which rules the universe.
Summary of BOOK OF AIONISM PART 2 — BELIEFS
Just as Natural Law compels atoms through a Struggle towards Equilibrium, so too does the Law compel our Souls to Struggle. Different religions and myths have different names for this spiritual state of equilibrium, where internally man is balanced and the soul is at peace: Heaven, Nirvana, Enlightenment, Happily-Ever-After.
Here is the good news: Heaven is within you and all around you, at all times. The Kingdom is a place on earth, and the keys to the Kingdom are in your hands. Enlightenment is an attitude, and attitude is a choice. It is not waiting for you after death, it is your birthright to take right here, right now. There is a door that takes you out of the infinite loop of desire > struggle > satisfaction > new desires… and you are free to walk through. It all comes down to conscious choice that you must make every day. You can choose to train your body and mind to reach the state of emotional balance. You can choose to practice Presence, where there are no thoughts to create negative emotions, there is only Being, and a beautiful present moment.
I believe this because it is the one golden thread weaving through the center of every major religion. But, more importantly, I believe this because I have felt it.
Heaven is gained by focusing on, merging with, bringing out the Aion spirit within you. The Aion Spirit is not just the God of Creation, it is the state of Wholeness when positive joins negative, Mind joins Will, Light is reflected in Water, Masculine marries Feminine. In Men, Aion is experienced as the Joyful Warrior — the man who is happy with nothing, while doing nothing except channeling his instinct into reality; the Son is the State of Self who is merged with the Father through purification, presence, a trance-like state of enchantment. When one achieves this state, they feel and exhibit the youthful, vigorous, fearless spirit. This force is what moves the enlightened man.
The good news is that you can choose to enter this state.
Synthesis
This is it. If you the reader takes nothing else away from this Book, take away this.
This is it. You are there (there is here and now).
You are striving for something in life. A healthy family, successful children, a paid off house, a retirement you don’t need to worry about. You imagine (you have been trained to imagine, you have been engrained to imagine by the blood of your ancestors) one day all your worries will have floated away, once you each the end of that striving. But you know, deep in your heart, there is no plateau thirty years from now where struggle and growth ceases. You can have the retirement account, but you will still have new desires — unless you have trained yourself to disassociate your spirit from them.
You do not need to wait for retirement to stop worrying. Within you is a permanent, subconscious, stained feeling of discontent (perhaps this is our original sin?), but you can resolve this conflict. Though you may strive from 9 to 5, you do not need to feel that Spiritual Struggle anymore. You can let go now. You are here.
This is it.
Every time you remember that, breathe it in, and smile a knowing smile.
It was written elsewhere that “there is a WILL, a fire, and ordering energy innate to all life. This WILL seeks a perfect specimen.” I name this Will Aion. It exists in the macrocosm and it also exists within each of us. The perfect specimen that this Will seeks out is a Son of God, an Aionist — it is the man living in tune with Instinct, the source Source Spirit Within; it is what results when a man, any man, you, recognize the Aion spirit and choose to live in a way that is fueled by the it, in a way that brings that spirit outside from within you.
How do we live in this way?
