Book of Aionism, Part 1 — Introduction
Aion: In early Greek αἰών means ‘life’ (often in the sense of ‘vital force’). Numerous developments occurred in the imperial period: Aion was identified with the power ruling the kosmos, with the sun, perhaps with the eternity of Rome and the emperors, and much else besides…1
There is a universal energy—a Fire—at the root of all being, and an intelligent, creative Force which orders it into higher forms. This FIRE and FORCE are one-and-the-same. It exists within man as Will, Instinct.
This fire, this force, is Aion.
Aionism is a Religious belief in this fire, in that intelligent ordering force; and in the ethical duty to manifest it on earth. It is an ideology of liberation from the downward pull of the rulers of our current age, and ascent into strength, joy, and power.
Aionism is Gospel (“Good News”) for Modernity. Jesus and others shared the good news, but it has been misinterpreted, lost, and forgotten. It must be restated in modern terms. Jesus taught what other great mystics taught: the Kingdom of Heaven, Nirvana, Happiness-Forever-After, is here and now, inside you and all around you. We see the light. We know how to merge with it. And, in doing so, we gain salvation for our souls, which is liberation of mind from all sorrow. The Buddha, the Christ, the Enlightened — the man who is happy with nothing, while doing nothing — is the ideal. He is carefree, joyful, without desire, he expresses art and creates with creation — and Aion is the creative force which animates these enlightened men. It is the ordering macrocosm around us and within us, which creates and sustains. This is the God of all great religions — all their sacred texts can be interpreted through this lens.
An Aionist sees that Modernity — the globalist, neoliberal, managerial State — is the enemy, the antichrist, the Beast. This Leviathan saps Aion from Man and pushes him into life-for-the-sake-of-life; it minimizes man to an economic actor; it promotes sheep instead of lions, and yeast-life instead of higher life; it creates slavery, instead of free men; it makes Heaven, Equilibrium of the Soul, very difficult to find. Leviathan has no chair in its cathedral for a man who seeks to conquer and control space around him; it seeks to punish those men; it seeks to neuter his Aion, and, therefore, it defies God.
An Aionist fights against this Leviathan, while also preparing for its collapse. This is the essence of Aionist Ethics, the best practices for manifesting Aion in our psyches and in our worlds:
Stoke the Flame:
Purify the Body: Sun and steel; science of sleep and nutrition. Unlock spiritual power from flesh and blood.
Raise the Mind: Meditation, prayer, and ritual will initiate the mind into higher frequencies, and orient you to hear the Word of God.
Tend the Flame:
Form Fellowships: Fraternal bonds help man stretch and meet his capacity for strength and joy, and these networks are the basis of all world-changing deeds.
Mind your Martial Purpose: The free man is a warrior, and only a man of war is a real man.
Pass the flame via Family: You are the first, last, and best educator of your children. If you don’t teach them the proper methods for stoking and tending the flame, no one will.
An Aionist is warrior, a conqueror, a king. He is a solar force, i.e. a force of light and levity. An Aionist reaches outside himself, strives, climbs, builds, creates — because Aion is the creative force of the universe. An Aionist embraces his duty, his burden, his cross, to turn all the potential energy within him into kinetic energy. The measure of a man is the degree to which he makes an impact on the world, relative to the degree that the world makes an impact on him. The universe is the sheet of metal, the Aionist is the hammer.
The well from which man draws his spiritual strength has been poisoned by modernity. As such, the average modern man is sick, with terminal illness. Aionism is his medicine.
Aionism not new. Aionism is a synthesis of old religions, and old ways — told in modern terms. Aionism is a religion, yes, but you need not be religious in the traditional sense in order to be an Aionist.
Aionism is a great hope for men who despair; it is a light for those in the dark. A sick man does not need to read the Book of Aionism to be made well; he does, however, need Aionism. A healthy man does not need to read the Book of Aionism to become an Aionist — he is likely already an Aionist (he just doesn’t know it).
Religion is comprised of 3 things: Belief System, Ethical Code, Church/Congregants. As such, the Book of Aionism is split into three parts.
1. Introduction (you are here)
2. The Aionist Belief System
3. Aionist Ethics
The purpose of the Introduction is to provide a summary of Aionism. The important, high-level takeaways. The cover letter. In parts 2 and 3 of the Book of Aionism, I will substantiate the claims made in this Introduction.
The Book of Aionism is split into three parts: 1) Introduction, 2) Beliefs, 3) Ethics
Part 2 is split into two sections: 1) Observations, 2) Stated Beliefs
Section 1 is split into three chapters: 1) Human Nature, 2) World Religions, 3) Personal Experience
