Book of Aionism, Part 2, Section 1, Chapter 2 — World Religions
The great world religions all say the same thing: that man may find Heaven in this life, on this earth.
Religion means “to reunite” or “rebind”, from the Latin “religare”. The word implies a reunion of the human psyche/soul with its source Spirit.
It struck me as an epiphany when studying world religions that they all say the same thing — and we just don’t realize it because they say it with different methods, language, or focus.
It would then benefit us greatly to state the shared truth in simple, modern language — as a base for understanding and building a new, modern religion. Let us stand on the shoulders of giants, who, though they appear different, are actually kin.
First: a comment on “Spirit”.
Realize how hard it is to define Spirit. Google says: “animating or vital principal in man and animals.” But is that not electricity and chemistry? What moves the electrons, and the chemicals, and why?
Spirituality is a little easier to pin down. It is nothing more than the untouchable combination of our physical, mental, and social health, which we experience mostly subconsciously as happiness and vigor, or despair and illness. Consider: habits such as exercise, meditation, fraternizing, are habits of happiness, habits of strong Spirituality, habits of positive conscious experience. Habits of unhappiness (e.g. sedentary lifestyle, constant distraction, poor diet, porn/masturbation, isolation, etc.) lead to poor spirituality, negative conscious experience. One’s Spirit is something that one feels/experiences instinctively. It is also something that guides/animates our actions.
Is Gravity a Spirit? It is a force which moves us; we know it is real despite the fact it is intangible and unseeable (we see the pull of gravity when we witness an apple fall to the ground, but we do not see the force of gravity itself). Gravity, however, does not seem to have any qualities of consciousness, and so we do not consider it a Spirit. It is still important to note, however, that we all do accept gravity as very real, despite never being able to hold it, see it, hear it, smell it, taste it with our five senses.
So it is with Spirits, with Gods – they are beyond our five senses, but we believe that they are real because, like we see gravity’s pull on the apple, we feel the effects of Spirits/Gods in the behaviors and body languages of people; we see the organizing principle of the universe reflected in atoms, in chemical life, in the organization of human cells, in the beauty of a spider web, in the behavior of rutting animals. We feel it in ourselves, when we experience cool, cloudless summer days and have no desires but are able to just breathe fresh air and be; and we feel it in ourselves when the stresses of modern life cause us to yell at our children.
In the ways we experience Spirituality, we can infer that a Spirit has a few characteristics:
it is intangible, unphysical
it is a force that moves
consciousness (the function of matter experiencing itself) is a dimension (the dimension?) of Spirit.
Gods, Spirits — these nouns may be used interchangeably. The forces beyond our senses which govern both Matter and Mind.
Why have I taken this time to explore the definition of Spirit?
Because it is important to understand what Spirit means when reading a book that talks about our Spirit, about what leads the Spirit to sublimation. It is important to understand that Spirit is simply an intangible yet real force which moves matter or mind.
Second: a comment on the ordering of this chapter.
I will present commentary on Buddhism, Hinduism, and Christianity, in that order. Christianity will come last.
Why? Because it is the most heavily coded and metaphorical, it requires a translation key (a Rosetta Stone of sorts) to fully comprehend its message. I understand the majority of readers of this book may be Christian, and may want to read that section first. But it is important, first, to build the translation key, before interpreting Jesus’s message.
Buddhism
“The world is afflicted by death and decay. But the wise do not grieve, having realized the nature of the world.”— Buddha
“Resolutely train yourself to attain peace.” — Buddha
“Whatever precious jewel there is in the heavenly worlds, there is nothing comparable to one who is Awakened.” — Buddha
Buddhism is a beautiful religion. Its prophet spoke its truth in plain words; and this truth is self-evident to anyone who reflects carefully on those words. It makes no metaphysical claims which require belief to be strained. It is simple, and elegant, like a pearl.
Buddhism’s founder, Siddhartha Gautama was born into a wealthy family as a prince in present-day Nepal. Although he had an easy life, Gautama was moved by suffering in the world. After years of searching, Gautama found enlightenment while meditating under a Bodhi tree. He spent the rest of his life teaching others about how to achieve this Spiritual state.
Buddha’s Enlightenment produced for him the “Four Noble Truths”
Life is suffering. Struggle and dissatisfaction is the natural state of life. In other words, our lives are full of attachments to impermanent states and things, this state is "incapable of satisfying" and painful.
Desire is the cause of suffering. In other words, the cause of our Spiritual ailments is our tendency to always crave something new, something else. Buddha said: “The root of suffering is attachment.”
You can end your suffering by taming your desires. If we tame, train, or find ways to stop desiring, then we will no longer be unhappy. “There is no fear for one whose mind is not filled with desires.” Nirvana is the name given for the enlightened state beyond desires and spiritual suffering.
The way to end suffering is outlined in the Noble Eightfold Path.
The Noble Eightfold Path
Right understanding,
Buddha taught the same thing Jesus (and Hindu teachers) taught: that the Light in me is Light in you. We share the same flame of consciousness. Buddha said: “As I am, so are these. As are these, so am I. Drawing the parallel to yourself, neither kill nor get others to kill.” This is Jesus’s golden rule, “love one another as you love yourself”.
Right thought, right speech, right actions
Buddha said: “Train your eyes and ears; train your nose and tongue. The senses are good friends when they are trained. Train your body in deeds, train your tongue in words, train your mind in thoughts. This training will take you beyond sorrow.”
This is very similar to the message that Jesus shared in the New Testament: “Don’t you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body? But the things that come out of a person’s mouth come from the heart, and these defile them. For out of the heart come evil thoughts—murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. These are what defile a person; but eating with unwashed hands does not defile them.”
Buddha taught, like Jesus, that giving love is best way to receive it. “If you knew what I know about the power of giving, you would not let a single meal pass without sharing it in some way.”
Right livelihood, right effort
Right mindfulness, right concentration
Buddha recommended meditation as a way to gain mastery over one’s thoughts, emotions, and therefore Spirit. “If you meditate earnestly, pure in mind and kind in deeds, leading a disciplined life in harmony with the dharma, you will grow in glory. If you meditate earnestly, through Spiritual disciplines you can make an island for yourself that no flood can overwhelm.” (The Book of Aionism will cover Meditation in great depth in subsequent sections)
Buddha stressed the power of the mind. “All experiences are preceded by mind, having mind as their master, created by mind.” Buddha says: “Our life is shaped by our mind; we become what we think. Suffering follows an evil thought as the wheels of a cart follow the oxen that draw it. Our life is shaped by our mind; we become what we think. Joy follows a pure thought like a shadow that never leaves.”
“Whatever precious jewel there is in the heavenly worlds, there is nothing comparable to one who is Awakened.”
“The whole secret of existence is to have no fear. Never fear what will become of you, depend on no one. Only the moment you reject all help are you freed.”
A clear picture of Buddhism has formed. Spiritual pain comes from our cravings and attachments; Spiritual bliss comes from the elimination of desire. Enlightenment is that place beyond Struggle where man’s Spirit is free and sublimated. Desire can be eliminated by training and disciplining ourselves to be present, to control our minds (to stop letting our minds control us), to radiate love. Enlightenment is an attitude, and attitude is a choice.
Buddhism lacks many metaphysical beliefs with respect to the human soul, or a God/Spirit which animates the universe.
Key teachings of Buddhism to remember:
Enlightenment, salvation of Spirit, is something man achieves in this lifetime, as a state of Mind, a state of being.
Enlightenment is gained by mastering one’s Mind, practicing meditation, and being virtuous.
It embraces the teaching that ‘the light in me is the same as the light in you’ is a key to Enlightenment.
Sharing light with others is the best way to bring your own self into the light of Spiritual bliss.
Hinduism
Hinduism does not have one founder or prophet; it is a collection of various beliefs from southeast Eurasia, thousands of years before Christ. It is considered the oldest religion in the world. It contains metaphysics, rituals, and a cultural caste system, but it’s core ethical teachings are very similar to Buddhism.
Hindu beliefs:
Hindu ethical teaching is quite similar to Buddhism, but Hinduism beliefs with respect to Gods and Spirit is more complex. Hinduism venerates Gods/Spirits as a way of explaining the physical world, similar to Greek mythology.
Hindus believe that all living creatures have a Self. This true "Self" of every person, is called the Atman. The Self is believed to be eternal.
This Atman is indistinct from Brahman, the supreme Spirit or the Ultimate Reality
The concept of Salvation/Enlightenment is called Moksha in Hinduism. It is the transcendent state attained as a result of being released from the cycle of rebirth impelled by the law of karma. Hinduism does teach that the goal of life is to realize that one's Self is identical to supreme Self, that the supreme Self is present in everything and everyone, all life is interconnected and there is oneness in all life. This realization is the Enlightenment, the Salvation, of the Hindu.
Hindus stress Meditation as a method for reaching this enlightened state. The basic objective of meditation is to attain oneness of the practitioner's Spirit (Atman) with the omnipresent and non-dual almighty (Brahman)
Hindu texts describe a sort of polytheism, but this is generally conceptualized as the divine essence or luminosity that gives vitality and animation to the inanimate natural substances.
Hindu ethics are called Sanatana Dharma, which means, “Eternal Duties.” These include virtues such as as honesty, refraining from injuring living beings, patience, forbearance, self-restraint, virtue, and compassion, among others
Hindus believe in a cosmic, ordering, animating vital force of the universe; while also believing that this Spirit is the same force which animates human life. When a man comes to understand this, through experience (of good works and meditation), he is Enlightened.
Key teachings of Hinduism to remember
Enlightenment, salvation of Spirit, is something that man achieves in this lifetime. It is a state of Mind, a state of Being.
Enlightenment is gained by mastering one’s Mind, practicing meditation, and being virtuous.
It embraces the teaching that ‘the light in me is the same as the light in you’. The popular Indian greeting ‘namaste’ actually means “I bow to the divine in you," affirming this belief.
Sharing light with others is the best way to bring your own self into the light of Spiritual bliss.
Note, Buddhism and Hinduism share the very same key teachings. They use different words to describe them, and Hindus focus more on metaphysics and ethics whereas Buddhist focus more on achieving the state of enlightenment.
What if there was a religion which combined those key focuses into one cohesive message?
Christianity
“Let us be what we are and be that well, in order to bring honor to the Master Craftsman whose handiwork we are.” — St. Francis de Sales
As previously noted, the New Testament is full of metaphor and code. It is itself an allegory for the journey a man must take, and within that allegory are parables, teachings told in a language of symbols which are intended to instruct the follower on how to reach the Kingdom of Heaven.
I will open this section with the proper Interpretations; the Rosetta Stone which deciphers the coded language; the lens through which, when you read the metaphors, they will click and make sense. You will see then, that Jesus’s teachings are consistent with Buddhist and Hindu teachings.
Interpretations
“Life” or “Death” always refer to Spiritual life or death. When the inner Spirit has been sublimated and manifested through man, this is life. When the inner Spirit remains trapped, or the soul is ignorant of it, this is death. Both life and death, in this sense, are states of consciousness on this earth, “Life” refers to a Spiritual blossoming, i.e. the fulfilled and happy state of a man on earth. “Death” refers to Spiritual sleep, slavery to sin, unhappiness.
Eternal Life, then, is a metaphor for endless joy and happiness. Eternal Life means Spiritual life, the enlightened state of religious intoxication.
Lazarus being dead is a metaphor for Lazarus being a Spiritual zombie, and Jesus awakens the life force within him.
The Resurrection can be understood in this context too: Jesus’s Resurrection, in the New Testament, is the allegorical story told as an example for the journey that we must take to also become Sons of God, to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Jesus the man suffers and dies, but is reborn in Spirit as a Son of God.
Water & Bread of Life refer to that which ends our sorrowful state of Spiritual desire
Water quenches thirst, Bread satisfies hunger, these are metaphors for Satisfying Desire, or finding the Spiritual nourishment, i.e. being happy, finding the state beyond struggle.
Recall Buddha’s four noble truths — desire is the root of suffering; end suffering and gain enlightenment. Water and Bread of life are those things with satisfy the Spirit, by eliminating the desires of the Spirit.
The Triumvirate represents 3 states of the 1 God
God the Father is the Ordering Force of the universe
Hinduism’s Brahman — the Ultimate Reality of the universe, of which consciousness and intelligence are properties.
God the Son is the perfected Man living out instincts via trance state; the Ordered/Whole Spirit within man.
Hinduism’s Atman; the True Self in each person, which is the same as Brahman. Become a Son of God, become the Atman, become that True Self which reflects the Ordering Force of the Universe
“Reach the Father through the Son” — realize the state of Oneness of the Cosmos by working to cultivate of Oneness in the Self.
God the Holy Spirit is the fiery vital force within each man, the manifestation of the Father (Creative Ordering Cosmic force) in the flesh.
Hence why the Spirit is presented as a tongue of fire descending onto apostles.
The Kingdom represents Heaven, which is the state of Spiritual satisfaction; the end of desires
The Kingdom is the Spiritual state of being where the Father reigns with the Son. But what THIS means, is… A man, by living in that state of lightness/levity in that trance state via his instincts, his body then moves only as a conduit of and for that higher ordering and creative force of the universe. A man may experience the High Light by tapping into the Spirit which animates his body. The Father (macro Spiritual force) guides/rules/animates the man, when the man becomes the Son (living via instinct, with presence, giving himself up to being animated by his source Spirit). A man can find endless Spiritual happiness when The Father reigns with the Son, when man lives with presence and love.
Next, let’s look at examples of parables, sayings, and metaphors, which affirm these interpretations…
Examples of Parables and Metaphors
The Kingdom of Heaven is within you. Man’s Spirit must reborn when he walks the earth, it will not happen after his body dies.
In the Gospel of Philip, Jesus says: “Those who say they will die first and then rise are in error. If they do not first receive the resurrection while they live, when they die they will receive nothing.”
Luke 17:20 Once, on being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, “The coming of the kingdom of God is not something that can be observed, 21 nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,’ because the kingdom of God is within you.”
Know he not that your bodies are the temple of the living God, and that the Spirit dwells within you? — Corinthians 3:16
Jesus says, “I’m the Son of God, but I’m here to train up some brothers.”
Luke 6:40 — “The student is not above the teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like their teacher.”
Luke 8:20 — Someone told him, “Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to see you.” 21 He replied, “My mother and brothers are those who hear God’s word and put it into practice.”
You shall be sons of the highest — Luke 6:35
Is it not written in your law: “I said, you are gods?” — John 10:34
Jesus tells us: “I speak metaphorically, and I speak in terms of Spirit.”
John 6:63 — “The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life. 64 Yet there are some of you who do not believe.”
Matthew 16:8 — Aware of their discussion, Jesus asked, “You of little faith, why are you talking among yourselves about having no bread? 9 Do you still not understand? Don’t you remember the five loaves for the five thousand, and how many basketfuls you gathered? 10 Or the seven loaves for the four thousand, and how many basketfuls you gathered? 11 How is it you don’t understand that I was not talking to you about bread?”
Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Rivers of living water will flow from within whoever believes in me.” By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. — John 7:37-39
Jesus explains the Father and Son metaphor
John 5:19 "Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. 20 For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does. Yes, and he will show him even greater works than these, so that you will be amazed. 21 For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son gives life to whom he is pleased to give it. 22 Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son, 23 that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him. 24 "Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life. 25 Very truly I tell you, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live. 26 For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son also to have life in himself. 27 And he has given him authority to judge because he is the Son of Man. 28 "Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice 29 and come out -those who have done what is good will rise to live, and those who have done what is evil will rise to be condemned. 30 By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who sent me.”
Here is the translation: An enlightened man doesn’t act by himself, he is in tune with the Higher Creative Force. This higher animating force is one of love and light, it guides the Aionist man. Similar to how the ordering force of the universe animates biological life, the Aion State that man can achieve is what animates Spiritually fulfilling life. The ordering force of the universe doesn’t judge, but a man living as his True Self in the trance state can. Whoever ignores this Man-as-Aion state is therefore also ignoring the higher force of light in the universe. If you really believe these things, you will find that state beyond sorrow and struggle. A time is coming soon when everyone will hear these words, and if they believe them, they will find Spiritual fulfillment.
The Bread and Water of Life used as metaphors as examples of the Jesus’s teachings providing unending happiness, Spiritual sustenance
John 6:27 “Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval.”
The Son of Man (the state of Being that Jesus entered, which he says all may enter) is “the food that endures to eternal life” i.e. that is the thing that will satisfy desire, that will bring a man into his Spiritual equilibrium.
John 6:32 “Very truly I tell you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. 33 For the bread of God is the bread that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”
“Gives life to the world”, again, gives “happiness ever after”
Read the Father as the Creative Force of the Macrocosm in this metaphor. Tapping into that animating force, by becoming a Son, is the way to endless happiness.
How to Gain the Kingdom (how to reach heaven/enlightenment)
Be the best man you can possibly be. Develop and grow yourself.
Matthew 13:31 “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. 32 Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches.”
Become like a child. They live on pure uncorrupted instinct.
Matthew 18:3 “Unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven”
Matthew 18:14 Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
Do not worry!
Mathew 6:25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? 28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
This passage is the strongest argument for Jesus sharing a message with Buddha. The flowers do not labor or spin (i.e. they do not STRUGGLE, they simply BE), implying we should be more like that.
“Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?” Again using Life in the Spiritual sense here.
“Do not worry” is essentially “let go, simply be”, and Jesus says that you will no longer struggle after Spiritual satisfaction, after you seek first the kingdom (the mental state).
Follow the Golden Rule
“Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself"
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. This is an acknowledgement not only that the light in others is the same as the light within you, but also that giving love is best way to receive it.
Our hearts, thoughts, and words matter more than following rituals
Matthew 15:16 “Are you still so dull?” Jesus asked them. 17 “Don’t you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body? 18 But the things that come out of a person’s mouth come from the heart, and these defile them. 19 For out of the heart come evil thoughts—murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. 20 These are what defile a person; but eating with unwashed hands does not defile them”
This is the same message that the Buddha shared: “Our life is shaped by our mind; we become what we think. Suffering follows an evil thought as the wheels of a cart follow the oxen that draw it. Our life is shaped by our mind; we become what we think. Joy follows a pure thought like a shadow that never leaves.”
Other Comments, Texts, Interpretations…
Pharisees and Sadducees are deceivers, offer false yeast (i.e. their Spiritual bread does not satisfy). They will be punished.
Matthew 16:11 - But be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.” 12 Then they understood that he was not telling them to guard against the yeast used in bread, but against the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
Important to first define Pharisees and Sadducees. The Sadducees and Pharisees comprised the ruling class of Jews in Israel. There are some similarities between the two groups but important differences between them as well. Sadducees were more conservative in one doctrinal area: they insisted on a literal interpretation of the text of Scripture; the Pharisees, on the other hand, gave oral tradition equal authority to the written Word of God. The important takeaway here, is that these two sects/groups ruled the Jews in Israel, it was basically a political duopoly that had the important things all wrong, while holding different beliefs on relatively unimportant things.
In other words, they were the Republicans and Democrats of Jesus’s time.
Add Scribes to the mix - the bureaucrats, and lawyers, and you have a perfect parallel with today’s evil ruling classes.
So, he warns everyone, be on the lookout for the yeast that these guys sell. My yeast is the good stuff. And of course, he is talking about the Spiritual Bread which we have mentioned before.
Luke 20:46 - “Beware of the teachers of the law. They like to walk around in flowing robes and love to be greeted with respect in the marketplaces and have the most important seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at banquets. 47 They devour widows’ houses and for a show make lengthy prayers. These men will be punished most severely.”
End Time Prophecies
End times will be an age of decadence like it was before Noah’s flood, and before Sodom and Gomorrah: Luke 17:24 For the Son of Man in his day will be like the lightning, which flashes and lights up the sky from one end to the other. 25But first he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation. 26“Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man. 27 People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all. 28 “It was the same in the days of Lot. People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. 29 But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all. 30 “It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed.”
Luke 21 offers more prophecy (condensed): 7“Teacher,” they asked, “when will these things happen? And what will be the sign that they are about to take place?” 9 When you hear of wars and uprisings, do not be frightened. 10 Then he said to them: “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. 11 There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven. 12 “But before all this, they will seize you and persecute you. They will hand you over to synagogues and put you in prison, and you will be brought before kings and governors, and all on account of my name. 16 You will be betrayed even by parents, brothers and sisters, relatives and friends, and they will put some of you to death. 17 Everyone will hate you because of me. 18 But not a hair of your head will perish. 19 Stand firm, and you will win life. 20 “When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near. 21 Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out, and let those in the country not enter the city. 22 For this is the time of punishment in fulfillment of all that has been written. 23 How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! There will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people. 27 At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” 29 He told them this parable: “Look at the fig tree and all the trees. 30 When they sprout leaves, you can see for yourselves and know that summer is near. 31 Even so, when you see these things happening, you know that the kingdom of God is near. 34 “Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap. 35 For it will come on all those who live on the face of the whole earth. 36 Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.”
Wars, revolts. Famines, pestilence. Sound familiar? Do not worry (we have heard this before), and stand vigilant for the times. When you see the signs, you will know, The Son of God (the mass awakening of Aion in man) is coming. When you see the cultural decay which was present before Noah’s flood, before Sodom and Gomorrah’s destruction, you will know, that the Spirit of God is due to return into the world.
Does it sound like any of the above things are happening? Have any other modern day prophets been preaching the same, that when the decadence and decay of law-makers fills the world, and when famine and pestilence and war comes, it will be a time for the return of the Aion???
At the end of the Buddhist and Hindu sections, I provided key teachings to remember. Now, it should be clear, that the key teachings of Christianity are the same.
Heaven, salvation of Spirit, is something that man achieves in this lifetime. It is a state of Mind, a state of Being.
Heaven is gained by mastering one’s Mind, by being virtuous, and by living as a Child: with presence; according to pure, uncorrupted, spontaneous instinct; as a conduit as the creative, intelligent, and ordering force of the universe.
It embraces the Golden Rule that the light in me is the same as the light in you.
Sharing light with others is the best way to bring your own self into the light of Spiritual bliss.
The Unifying, Ordering force of the universe (the Father, Brahman) … it is the same as the vigorous, youthful, fiery force within man (the Holy Sprit, Atman). By becoming a Son/Buddha (by giving yourself up to being animated by the fiery force, which compels a man to be creative, chivalrous, conquering, and compels a woman to be intuitive, nurturing, submissive), you attain the Kingdom of Heaven, Spiritual joy, moksha, nirvana.
All encouraging words, all compelling metaphysics. Does it actually apply in real life?
